TEDxUSICT was an event full of grandeur giving stage to speakers with a positive outlook on life. The event attempted to instil the spirit of enthusiasm within the hearts of the audience and to help them realise that a better world exists beyond the horizon as reflected in the theme of the event: ‘Crossing the Horizon’.

Held at E Block Seminar Hall from 10am to 5pm, it was a platform for a plethora of ideas, vibrance and zeal. The Dwarka campus was abuzz with excitement in the days leading up to the event. Students from various colleges of the University registered for the first TEDx event in all of IPU. Being an international affair, only a limited number of students, who met the selection criteria, could be a part of the event. The efforts of the organising team of this successful event were appreciated by all.

Speakers and change makers from social as well as technological fields came together to ignite young minds with the spirit of change. Speakers like Jeroninio Almedia, Major Devender Pal Singh, Rashmi Anand, Anshulika Dubey and Abhishek Sharma threw some light on how, when life treats you unfairly, you should stand strong in the face of adversities. The highlight of the event was that the students were able to interact with the eminent speakers personally, so that they could see life through a different perspective.

EpicTure, the photography society of GTBIT, came to capture the myriad moments of ecstasy, inspiration and passion. They provided a means of making the event eternal by capturing memorable moments through their lenses. Samsara, a musical band from USS, performed at the event, mesmerising the audiences with their performance.
